A Poem Before I am Eaten
A Poem Before I am Eaten
The undead have come to plague our street
With an empty stare in their eyes
They look at us and they want to eat
The shambling of corpses feet
They keep coming and we know what soon ahead lies
The undead have come to plague our street
Appalled in their relentlessness we decide to retreat
Too late; piercing my ears I hear all the cries
They look at us and they want to eat
We are sure of our defeat
I thought the apocalypse was all lies
The undead have come to plague our street
Their flesh rotting in the summer heat
We are naught but a meal in their eyes
They look at us and they want to eat
We struggle but we know
